Schaeffer Show Cattle (formerly Schaeffer Simmentals) emerges with a bold new identity and a proven track record across all breeds. Our mission is simple: push the boundaries of genetic excellence in the cattle industry. By making elite genetics accessible, we equip breeders to elevate their herds—delivering progeny across breeds that perform at the highest level both in the ring and in the pasture.

THE LIVE EVENT

We have been fortunate to produce countless champions and proven donors over the last 19 years, but I can whole-heartedly say there has never been a set on this farm this good. It is hands-down the most unique and elite offering we have ever put forward. We have always stayed focused on the cow power to give our customers a safety net—proven predictability that offers a clear path to success both in the show ring and in the pasture. Maybe that’s part of the reason we decided to go live this year. These cattle are more than just youth projects; they are pathways to future livelihoods, marketing opportunities, and genetic generators long after the banner is hung.

Nate Tice and I sat down years ago as teenagers with a shared vision, passion, and drive. I don’t think either of us imagined it would grow into this, but there is no better way to celebrate a little vision, dream, and daily grind than with one heck of a bash at our first-ever LIVE EVENT.

I still remember our very first sale in 2008—bidding off cattle right in the wash rack of the barn. Here we are 19 years later, and while a lot has changed, the passion behind this operation remains the same. We’ve grown, learned, navigated our share of challenges, and made incredible memories along the way.

First and foremost, THANK YOU. An operation like this doesn’t run on an individual—it survives and thrives on a team.

To my wife, Emily: Thank you for keeping our family running, excelling at your career, and keeping the wheels on the bus here at Schaeffer Show Cattle. You keep us all grounded, from the cattle to our two sons, Braylen and Colyer.

To my parents, Paul and Tracy: Thank you for pushing boundaries, opening doors, and giving me the opportunities to build what has become the backbone of this operation.
